I used wire and negative space to suggest the presence of an anotomical heart, using thinner guages of wire to imply veins running across the atriums. Most of my sculptures have required additive or subtrative sculpting, but this piece was almost entirely a practice in Gestalt Principles, and it was incredibly fun.

I have often used the form of the anatomial heart to teach myself various forms of sculpture, and allowed the process to encourage emotional discussions with myself.
